Delete your data — b-mobile for Blipfoto

How to delete the data b-mobile for Blipfoto handles, and where to delete your Blipfoto account. b-mobile is an independent app built on Blipfoto's public API, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Blipfoto.

1. The notifications record

If you turned notifications on, b-push (the app's notification service) holds a record for each account: your Blipfoto user ID, an encrypted read-only access token, your device's push token, and your notification choices. To delete it, while your phone is online:

Either deletes the record straight away. If you uninstall the app without doing this, the record is deleted automatically the next time b-push tries to reach your phone and Google reports the app gone.

2. Data kept only on your phone

Your access tokens (in Android's secure storage), settings, hidden members, drafts, photos waiting to upload and the picture cache are stored only on your phone and are not sent to the developer. Uninstalling the app removes them, as does Android Settings → Apps → b-mobile → Storage → Clear storage.

On Android 10 and later, photos you download from your own entries are saved to Pictures/b-mobile and stay there after uninstalling. Delete them from your gallery or file manager like any other picture.

3. Your Blipfoto account and content

Your Blipfoto account, journal, entries, photos and comments are held by Blipfoto, not by b-mobile. Deleting a Blipfoto account is not available to apps like b-mobile; it is done on Blipfoto's website, in your Blipfoto account settings (see also Blipfoto help). In the app, Accounts → the account's options → Delete account opens that page.

If you use b-mobile notifications, turn them off or disconnect the account in the app first (section 1), then delete your Blipfoto account.
